This is my 3rd Dell Precision workstation.Īll previous where 17" models with better graphic cards. I have not used the system for work since I have it. Second fact is that I have ran 2 full battery discharge cycles (approx 7 hours behind the system) without any issues. And let's not forget when connect to the grid there are no issues at all. Those just simply do not trigger this shut-down. I run 3D CAD and FEM simulations on my machine, as many Adobe applications, which really can use GPU, CPU and RAM to the max. What appears is that only one of the 4 cores is going sometimes to the 90☌, while the others stay around 50-60☌. I have downloaded the intel Extreme Tuning Utility, and just monitored it running idle. It was originally installed on my machine by the way. If I google for this utility, I do find it.
